1. Shading coating
The glue layer is related to the sun protection effect. Black plastic umbrella>Color plastic umbrella>Silver plastic umbrella>No plastic layer umbrella>Lace hollow umbrella ///Multi-layer plastic umbrella>One or two layer plastic umbrella>No plastic layer>Lace hollow umbrella ///Dark umbrella> Light umbrella
2. UPF value label
The UV protection umbrella should be marked with the sun protection index (UV logo), and the tag will be marked with the UPF value. When UPF=30, UV filter=95%. When UPF value=50, UV filter=99.8% or above. But there are very few umbrellas that can really achieve UPF50, and they are not easy to buy. Generally speaking, in non-high UV areas, an umbrella with a UPF value of 30 is sufficient for daily sun protection.
3. The density of fabric
Density is not thickness, and a heavy and thick umbrella surface may not have a good shading effect. Under the same fabric, the more solid the fabric density, the lower the light transmittance, and the less ultraviolet rays irradiated through the umbrella.
4. Fabric: PG cloth has the best effect
The main fabrics used to make general umbrellas on the market are: polyester, PG cloth, and nylon.
Umbrella fabrics with sun protection function mainly include: PG cloth, black tape, colored tape, silver tape, pearl cloth, nylon, polyester
PG cloth (also known as "impact cloth): it belongs to the first-class anti-ultraviolet umbrella cloth, the umbrella cloth is thicker, the price is higher, and the anti-ultraviolet effect is better. The only disadvantage is that it is expensive.
Black tape: stable, good UV resistance, not easy to fall off, shading at the same time thermal insulation. The price is relatively close to the people, cost-effective, it is recommended to start.
Colored tape: Colored tape is generally applied to the outside, and combined with black polyester cloth, it can basically achieve zero light transmission and strong UV resistance. The disadvantage is that it is expensive and it is not easy to print colors or patterns.
Silver tape: It has better anti-ultraviolet function, but after a long time of use, the silver tape will easily come off where it is folded.
Pearlescent cloth: The color of the pearlescent cloth is brighter, the umbrella body is light and thin, and the variety of styles is loved by ladies, but the anti-sun UV effect is not ideal. For real sun protection, it is not recommended for mothers-to-be to buy parasols made of pearlescent fabrics.
Nylon: also known as nylon. Nylon cloth itself is subdivided into many types. Umbrella cloth has good elasticity and wear resistance, but its shading brightness is not ideal. If it is matched with silver glue or pearl color glue, it will have anti-UV effect.
Polyester: A more economical umbrella, the umbrella fabric is rougher and the price is cheaper. Almost all common embroidered umbrellas are made of this fabric, exquisite and beautiful. It is a pity that it is not durable and not sun-proof, especially large-area embroidery, hollow, and tulle.
